Hi, I’m Destinee. Life hasn’t always been easy, but it has shaped me into who I am today. I grew up in a challenging environment with an unstable home life, often moving between women’s shelters, rehabs for my mom, and even staying in other people’s homes. Church became my refuge—a safe place where I found stability, forgiveness, and hope.
At 18, I left home to attend a nearby community college and began experiencing independence for the first time. Though I made mistakes along the way, I also met some wonderful people and built meaningful friendships. Life moved fast, but challenges like the COVID pandemic, financial struggles, and even a divorce taught me hard but valuable lessons.
Today, at 26, I’m navigating a new chapter with resilience and gratitude. My mom is 15+ years clean and sober, my sisters and I share a stronger bond than ever, and I’m surrounded by amazing friends. Despite the hurdles, I’ve learned that life gets better, and growth is always possible.
I started this blog to share my journey and remind others that no matter how tough life feels, there’s always a path forward. I hope my experiences inspire hope, resilience, and healing for anyone in the midst of their own battles. Life may not always go as planned, but happiness and growth can be found along the way.
